JOC was established in the Al-Jazeera region in 2013 and was licensed under the number / 209 / date 2019 issued by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in exceptional circumstances, which swept Syria and caused an economic crisis, especially in energy sources. JOC is headquartered in Rmelan.

JOC has achieved remarkable successes in terms of production, refining and distribution, and contributed to the economic development of north and east Syria. JOC is the leader in energy production in north and east Syria, where it is led by a group of distinguished experts and specialists working on developing JOC administratively and technically. Our most important resources are the employees of JOC who contribute to developing its edifice at all levels of knowledge and technology and securing the flow of energy in the AANES. JOC has more than five thousand employees working to support the economy of the AANES.

JOC obtained an exclusive contract for the investment and development of oil and gas fields over the entire area of north and east Syria from the AANES.
